Flora Springs Trilogy Napa Valley 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

92 points Wine Enthusiast: A lovely wine, soft and charming, but far from simple. Although it has complex layers of cherries, blackberries, cassis and cedar, it also shows a fine structure of ripe, smooth tannins and supporting acidity. Drink now-2015 while it's fresh and forward. Alcohol 14.2%. (May 2012) 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 5% Malbec.

Drink now-2015 while it's fresh and forward. - S.H. The 2009 Trilogy is 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 5% Malbec. The wine possesses good balance and depth in its dark red fruit, flowers, mint and spices. This attractive, tasty wine is best enjoyed over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015. Firm and complex, with a savory dried berry and forest floor edge that ends with a clipped, cedary oak taste. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec. Drink now through 2018. 7,500 cases made. -JL ** SOLD OUT **

I have never tasted a more compelling example of Flora Springs Trilogy Proprietary Red Wine than the 1994. It is one of the stand outs of the 1994 California Cabernet Sauvignon barrel tastings. The wine boasts an opaque purple color, a huge, sweet, ... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. A Proprietary Blend wine from California in USA. 1994 Flora Springs Trilogy Proprietary Red Wine 750ml

Ripe and juicy, with an alluring core of black cherry, currant, plum and berry flavors. Hints of sage, spice and herb add dimension and though the tannins stand up on the finish, it can be enjoyed now... Wine Spectator.
