Feudo Monaci Primitivo Puglia IGT 2009

Member Review by Italian Wine Blog:

Mid bodied wine of a medium intensity colour with much lighter hues. The nose is interesting and typical of a cheap Primitivo, sweet, sugar smelling and a little artificial, touch of spice. Very light on the palate, but with some nice blackberries and reminds me of the Gallo Zinfandel on the midpalate with a reasonable finish for a wine of $5. Above average for $5.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
