Fetzer Vineyards was founded in 1968 in beautiful Mendocino County by Barney and Kathleen Fetzer. One of the first California wineries to branch out into serious Chardonnay production, Fetzer remains committed to sustainability and environmentally conscious wine production. Dennis Martin oversees all wine-making at Fetzer and is assisted by Charlie Gilmore and Michael Chupp, who are in charge of white wine making and red wine making respectively.
Got the aromas of apricot and green apple upon opening the bottle. This held over to the taste as they were also the initial flavors I experienced followed by pears and peaches on the end. a little sweeter then other Riesling i have tried but i really liked it none the less.

Bright apricots, apples, peaches - there's a bushel basket of flavorsand aromas in every glass. The wine is delicate, yet full and pairswonderfully well with spicy Thai or Asian foods, as well as traditionalholiday foods like baked ham or turkey. There's dried fruit and zesty lemon on the nose, with notes of lavender, jasmine and rose petal. As you taste, the crisp acid balances nicely in a well structured wine that offers peaches, pineapple and pear in a smooth, rich, mellow finish.Slightly sweet, but barely noticeable with the fruit-forward flavors.
