Craggy Range Winery Sauvignon Blanc 2010
A classic Old Renwick. Very pale straw colour with green tinges. The aroma is full of fresh lime, herbs, grapefruit, a touch of Korean mint. On the palate the wine has an impressive feeling of concentration and linearity. Flavours of kaffir lime, sweet herbs and grapefruit are underpinned by bright acidity and wet riverstone texture. Finishes with length and intensity. Food Match: Mussels, fresh fish and salads.
External Reviews for Craggy Range Winery Sauvignon Blanc
In this pale, straw-colored wine, herbal elements of sage and mint are balanced by lime and passionfruit aromatics. A subliminal hint of vanilla and cream provide the added complexity. The palate’s rich core of fruit is tempered by citrus-like acidity lending balance and freshness. Craggy Range's philosophy of low intervention winemaking conserves the true character of Sauvignon Blanc while exposing the textural elements which are more evocative of its vineyard site.
