Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
Fine for a weeknight wine. Not terrible, but not great either.
A good Cabernet.....but lacking IMHO on the end finish. It took a while for this to open...especially on the nose. It's good, but lacking some additional backbone and structure. Hints of Mocha and Walnut with some bing cherry. Tame tannins. Good but needs that little extra something. Cheers!
