Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

I'm a big fan of Columbia Crest & Chateau Ste. Michelle. Their wines are always spot-on for the variety or the blend in the bottle. This is juicy and darkly-fruited with blackberry & black currant at center stage. Evergreen notes dance in the background. A satisfying wine that offers super value.

Great for the price. Intense with tart berry notes and a hint of toasted vanilla flavor.

Delicious deep berry flavor that lingers, a touch of oak, chocolate and great aroma

It is interesting to compare this 2010 Two Vines Cab to their previous efforts. This one lacks intensity of the 2008 and 2009. Plus, it is shorter on fruit. A simple wine. Some cherry in the nose and some cacao --- 84 rating..

Good value Cab. Nothing too special but very drinkable with a good bit of depth for the $.

Columbia Crest and the great state of Washington pretty much take CA to the cleaners with this 2010 Cab. A great wine at any price- and a steal at $10. Just the right hints of chocolate, vanilla, cherry, and spice....smooth. Let it breath for 30 min, and you'll have a premium, rich Cab. My fav.

You get a big blast of fruit almost like a Pinot Noir up front with a nice smooth finish. I like it beter than the 2009

Exhibiting big, bold flavors, our Grand Estates Cabernet Sauvignon highlights these classic characteristics while softening the edges just enough to call attention to delicate aromas and fruit complexity. Armoas and flavors of black cherry, plum and spice on the mid-palate are complemented by smooth tannins on the finish.

The Grand Estates Cabernet is a real strength in the lineup, which falls between the Two Vines and H3 bottlings in terms of affordability. This is loaded with vanilla as well as a big whiff of clove. The cassis flavor is substantial, and the wine retains an authoritative firmness because of its well-hewn tannins.

Open-textured, velvety and appealing for the rhubarb pie-accented currant and floral flavors, lingering on the expressive finish against fine tannins. Drink now through 2015.
