Clos LaChance is a family-owned and operated winery located in San Martin, CA. The winery focuses on hand-crafted wines from the 150-acre Estate Vineyard and Burgundian variteals from the Santa Cruz Mountains.

If at first sniff hinting faintly at cardboard and fairly sparing in fruit, this wine shows a slightly sugary quality to its otherwise clean but rather amorphous flavors. Its balance is good, but it winds up tasting of little more than candied fruit and green melons and goes wanting for inviting varietal character.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.
