Christian Moreau Chablis 2010
The 2010 Chablis is a ripe, yet bone dry Chardonnay with crisp green apple, mineral and a touch of saline. The versatile, affordable, village Chablis from Domaine Christian Moreau Pere et Fils is bright and crisp, with the classic, taut structure and refreshing minerality that define traditional Chablis. This is a Moreau classic!
Editorial Reviews for Christian Moreau Chablis
This offers up rather intense aromas of golden raspberry, chalk, steel, lemon zest and hints of peach and green tea. A bit firm yet finely balanced on entry, this shows great cut with wonderfully balanced mineral, yellow fruit and faint herb totes. There’s a walk in the forest quality to the inner mouth perfumes that is wonderfully refreshing. Fine fruit arrives a bit late on the palate but shows a fine balance of ripeness and freshness. The finish is more of the same, mineral and vibrant acids with growing perfumes of apple skins and pretty floral notes. Racy. 90pts
A little gamy and meaty on the nose with floral and green apple peel aromas over notes of dried lemon peel and gravel. A nice creamy leading edge greets the mouth, followed by nice delineated flavors of pithy lemon peel, lemon, oyster shell and green pear skins. This is well balanced with more intensity of fruit on the backend leading to a clean, refreshing, acid driven finish. Not complex but fresh. 87pts
A little skunky on the nose, with some lemon and a little sugar. Juicy green apple flavors - some peach, apricot and a finish of light cream and butter.

Here too the nose is ever-so-mildly exotic with notes of green fruit and tidal pool nuances adding breadth. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors possess good mid-palate fat and vibrancy on the clean, crisp and nicely delineated finish.
Good bright lemon-yellow. Pure aromas of lemon drop, tangerine, grapefruit and mint. High-pitched and intense in the mouth, with a captivating sweetness nicely buffered by firm acidity and a crushed stone quality. Finishes with excellent energy and length. This should make an excellent village wine.
