Château l'Ermitage White Rhone Blend Costières-de-Nîmes Blanc 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Brightly garnet robe. It smells like blueberries with some vanilla and cinnamon. It is full taste with a good fruity and spicy structure sustained by supple tannins.

A lovely crisp and light wine offering hints of mineral and citrus peel and a hint of mint on the finish. Enjoy at the start of a meal with a salad or on its own.

Feines Hellgelb. Aromen von Haselnuss und Blätterteiggebäck, welches vom Barrique-Ausbau stammt. Fruchtaromen von Birnen, Pfirsich und Lychees. Dezente Fruchtsäure.

I find that the white wines from Rhône are interesting and fresh. The blend of this wine is 50% Roussane, 40% Grenache and 10% Viognier. The wine has been aged on fine lees for three months, which really brings out the fruit characteristics. Beautifully balanced with acidity and body, this white wine can be great with food, or just to sip on its own. Pair with creamy seafood dishes or a roasted chicken with mashed potatoes.

Tired of the ubiquitous watery Pinot Grigios out there? Try this: a fuller-bodied white made from classic grapes of the Côtes du Rhône: Rousanne, Viognier and Grenache Blanc. Floral aromas waft from the glass, followed by the mouth-coating, low acid mouthfeel, and a surprisingly long finish for a white. Delicious, unoaked alternative to your favorite Chardonnay.

This traditional Rhône white is a blend of three grapes, all from low-yielding vines. The aromas are of fresh white fruits - peaches, pears - with litchee and pollen. The Grenache provides richness, while the Roussanne adds balancing acidity. Enjoy this wine with white meats, fish, risotto and salads.
