Chateau de Sancerre 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

Bright with golden highlights. Typical nose of Sauvignon. Harmonious floral and fresh fruit aromas with citrus notes. Fresh and lively in the mouth with good body and a long finish. 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes harvested exclusively from Marnier-Lapostolle's vineyards which cover 45 hectares and are composed of 75% limestone and 25% flint soil. It is the only wine from the Sancerre appellation allowed to be sold under the exclusive name of "Château de Sancerre®". Produced in limited quantities.

Château de Sancerre:
Château de Sancerre, built in the 10th century by the Count of Champagne, is the most prestigious property in Sancerre, and the only one that can use the Château de Sancerre name. Its sought-after hillside vineyards have been attached to the Château for centuries. The classic estate bottled wines exemplify Sancerre’s sophisticated minerality & bracing acidity.
