External Reviews for Château de Chantegrive Red Bordeaux Blend Graves
Intense raspberry aromas, medium-bodied, with silky tannins, but very woody and slightly dry. Wait and see if the fruit can take the wood? Best from 2000 through 2005.
Der Wein hat eine schöne granatrote Farbe. Im Geschmack ist er verführerisch und komplex, mit einem hauch von geröstetem Brot und schwarzen Früchten.
Opulent nose of earth, fruit and chocolate. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a refined finish. Best after 2004.
The excellent 2000 displays aromas of scorched earth, ripe black cherry and currant fruit, tobacco, and cigar smoke. Ripe, medium-bodied, soft, and attractive, it will be drinkable young and last until 2012.
This wine comes from the famous Graves region in Bordeaux; a large 35-hectare estate gives them the ability to grow some of best grapes in Graves. The wine is medium to full-bodied, with black currant, wild berry and black cherry fruit supported by firm but well-structured tannins.
