This 2006 is a good crisp, minerally sauvignon blanc. Lots of citrus and pear flavors, no oak. Terrific house white. Goes well with seafood and grilled chicken.

I bought this bottle of wine before Christmas when it was on offer at my local supermarket and I paid about four pounds for it.Entre-Deux-Mers is an appellation only applied to dry white wines from that part of the Bordeaux region between the rivers Garone and Dordogne Chateau Bonnet is a large 270 hectare estate [although only 120 hectares are given over to the white grapes] which has been owned,lived in, and run by Andre Lurton's family since the 1890's.He is a very distinguished and succesful large scale winemaker who also owns several other properties in the Bordeaux region producing a total of around 4 million bottles a year.The wine consists of 50% sauvignon blanc,40% semillon and 10% muscadelle.I drank my bottle last night with my supper of baked fish and I have to report that I liked it very much.The label says 'A crisp,clean,fruity dry white' and I have to agree.There is plenty of fruit there and it is a citrusy kind of fruit.I am obviously not the only one who liked this wine because it got a silver medal at the 2006 International Wine Challenge

The vast 300-acre estate of Château Bonnet in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers produces a deliciously reliable, good value wine every year. One of the most familiar Entre-deux-Mers chateaus, and certainly the largest, this is the home of master vigneron André Lurton. With its fresh, grapefruit flavors and aromas of white flowers and hedgerows, this is a great summer wine.
Aromas of white peach, lime and lemon lead to a medium body, with bright acidity and a long, fresh finish. A solid value in white Bordeaux.
