Chateau Berthets Premieres Cotes de Blaye 2005

External Review by Prestige Wine & Spirits:

A fantastic value showing a ruby red/purple color while bursting with the aroma of black fruits, cherries and Provencal herbs. These flavors carry though in a velvety mouth sensation, finishing with just a hint of spice.

Lightly sour, fruity aroma. Full, earthy flavor. Some bitterness, warmth, and sour presence too. A good wine for a cloudy day.

Robust style from the Candocirc;tes de Blaye area of the Right Bank in Bordeaux. Full throttle, deep purple young wine with earth, depth and gripping tannins. Muscle-man wine with aging potential and a great match for roast meats.
