Castello di Bossi Merlot Toscana IGT Girolamo 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

A seamless beauty graced with exquisite finesse in its dark fruit. Despite its richness, there is plenty of underlying structure to support the fruit. Mocha, spices and licorice wrap around the dark, opulent finish. The Girolamo is quite explosive at this stage, but it will be even better in another few years.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Black olive and plum aromas and flavors. Strong, integrated tannins and a rich finish.

A wonderful mix of berry and plum. Complex and full-bodied.

Pretty good for price. Was excellent after 25-30 minutes. Berries on the nose. Delish with the lamb & feta I had.
