Carrasviñas Fermentado En Barrica Verdejo Rueda 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

The Carrasviñas Fermentado en Barrica is a white wine made from 100% Verdejo grapes, coming from vineyards over 50 years old (some even coming from pre phylloxera times!) planted in sandy soils. This wine has fermented in oak barrels (combination of French, American and Hungarian) at a controlled temperature of 25°C during 11 days. Moreover, this wine has been aged during 6 months in stainless steel tanks with its fine lees, which confer the wine roundness and creaminess in the palate. Try it with oven-roasted fish dishes, especially if seasoned, white meat, poultry and game, cured cheeses, foie gras and pâtés.
