To me this wine was best after dinner, and even more so the second day. Needs some airing out. Better in casual drinking rather than the tasting on the first night. The first night it was too sweet for me by itself. But the second day it transformed to where the acids balanced out with the sweetness nicely. Paired with roast pork, garlic and cheese pasta and a salad, it was a little too acidic and sweet with that. Someone recommended it to me to be paired with pasta and a tomato based sauce. I haven't had a chance to have pair it with that yet. A nice benefit is that it's fun to say "Mahn-teh-pool-CHAH-no" in an Italian accent while drinking. I would have given this 2-2 1/2 glass rating after the first night (not bad, but I wasn't very impressed), But i thought it was worth 3 1/2 glasses (fairly enjoyable to drink) on the second day. I may have to try this again with a longer decant time to see if that will bring about the nice transformation that it experienced overnight.

Very nice fruity red wine, not too dry, very drinkable. Good $15 wine but would be great at $10.

Aromas of roses, dried flowers and fruit follow through to a medium-bodied palate, with good fruit, fine tannins and a medium finish. This is always excellent value. Drink now.

Intense violet robe. Aromas of plums and ripe blackberry. Each sip delivers a mouthful of ripe berries, leather and black pepper with subtle hints of oregano, dried herbs, and a touch of vanilla; all leading to a dry, supple finish.

Big and juicy. Very ripe and plummy, with hints of raspberry sauce. Full-bodied and chewy, with lovely round and soft tannins and a long finish. A serious effort. Best from 2004 through 2007.

Medium-bodied, with ripe red raspberry and black cherry notes. Subtle spice notes highlight the bright red fruit flavors, but the mouthfeel is smooth and mellow. Excellent table wine mdash; pairs with almost anything!
