Tastes pretty sweet, with a sugar and honeysuckle richness. But the tangerine fruit flavor is deep and impressive, and the vanilla and buttered toast notes from oak are what consumers like.
Fresh floral, citrus, peach and nectarine aromas are smooth and easy-drinking in this complex white, which ends with a touch of sweetness. Drink now through 2013.
The 2009 Chardonnay Monterey (89% Chardonnay, 5% Viognier and 6% Riesling) exhibits an elegant, medium-bodied style with buttery tropical fruit notes intertwined with honeyed citrus. Crisp and zesty with moderate alcohol, it can be enjoyed over the next several years.
