This aromatic Chardonnay displays ripe aromas and pure flavors of nectarine and golden apples; time in the bottle will allow tropical flavors to develop.
The 2009 Chardonnay Monterey (89% Chardonnay, 5% Viognier and 6% Riesling) exhibits an elegant, medium-bodied style with buttery tropical fruit notes intertwined with honeyed citrus. Crisp and zesty with moderate alcohol, it can be enjoyed over the next several years.
Made in drier, leaner style, this wine shows flower, tangerine and apricot flavors, with sharp acidity. Not real generous, but a clean sipper for appetizers.
