Bodegas Ramon Bilbao Valinas Albarino 2012

External Review by WineExpress.com:

Albarino is the most exciting white wine to come along in years. Its perfumed aromas, crisp flavors and compelling affinity with food has made it all the rage. This one from top Rioja Bodega Ramon Bilbao is a beautiful example at a bargain price. Harvested by hand from vineyards located on the valley terraces and steep slopes of the Val do Salnes, over-looking the Atlantic ocean. Temperature-controlled maceration and vinification of free-run must impart the wine with its unique characteristics of freshness and aromic intensity. The Wine Spectator said "Peach, almond and fresh herb flavors mingle in this round, sleek version, with polished acidity and enough grip for food." Beverage Dynamics scored it 90 saying "Classic tropical fruit of pineapple and mango; fresh and juicy on the palate with citric notes and a long lingering finish with a nice acidity."
