Bodegas Borsao Tinto 2012

Member Review by jamessulis:

This Garnacha from Spain is not one of my favorites. Perhaps it needs to be decanted or allowed more time to breathe. For the price, it's ok but would not go out of my way to have it with other than pizza (anything is good with Pizza) I will not be purchasing it any more. One further note, it seemed to young, it had the potential flavors but too short on anything that matters in a wine

With the passing through Bursao of different civilizations like the Romans, Visigothic Hispania and the Muslims we have inherited architectural remains and above all, the natural inclination of its people towards agriculture and more particularly viniculture. Of equal importance was the implementation of artisanal techniques that today endure as living proof of the cultural richness of the former Bursao today known as Borja. During the I and II centuries, before our time, it used to mint bronze coins, ases and dividers as a symbol of its autonomy. On the obverse of the as we can see a celtiberian rider armed with a lance, riding on the writing of the name of the city in the native alphabet. The emblem adopted by the winery as a sign of identity. Read less

My rating 86: Lean body with well balanced fruit and tannins. Nose is clean but short. Nothing wrong with the wine for the price of $ 7
