This wine is surprisingly light and fruity for such a dry red. Hints of berries combine with a grapy character to form an extremely smooth drinking wine that pairs perfectly with red sauces.
Black cherries and blackberry aromas. Smoky and acidic and big, with black fruit flavors and violets.
Hickory, smoked wood-chips, blackberries, cherries on the nose with a licorice undertone. The mouth is very well-rounded, which is earthy, and has strawberry and wet wool tones.
nose complete with cherries, raspberries, red plums with tinges of dried earth. very fruit forward, med + acidity with a little red licorice and sour cherries on the palate combined with vegetal/violet notes. light, delicate and enjoyable
Light-body, high-acid, soft, shifting tannins like tiny grabbing hands. Baby powder & rubber sole on the nose; bright red cherries in the mouth.
medium ruby in color. aromas of twizzler, violets, a little brett. a wine balanced in acidity, body, and tannins
Barbera is the second most widely-planted red varietal, after Sangiovese. The fruit is naturally high in acid, which it retains very well, even in hot climates. These characteristics make it a perfect accompaniment to most foods. Barbera is deep and purplish black in its youth. It can exhibit an attractive ripe aroma of red fruit, currants or blackberries. This family-style drinking wine is among my favorites. Suggestions: hot antipasto, pasta é fagioli, coal oven pizza, or pasta. One liter of exceptional quality wine makes this an exceptional value!
