B Domaine Vincent Paris 2009
Vincent inherited most of his own vines from his grandfather; he also rents some vines from Robert Michel. Vincent's total rented and owned holdings amount to just 8 hectares, which includes his holding in the southern sector of Saint Joseph. His Saint Joseph rouge comes from vineyards in the village of Ardoix about 30 km north of Cornas in the central part of the appellation. The soils are granitic, as in Cornas, and are at 300m elevation, the combination of which gives the wine its freshness and minerality. This is St Jo rouge as it should be!
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
