Azienda Giribaldi Barolo 2006

Member Review by WinePleasures:

Licorice straight in- nicer than getting smoke/spice blasted at you. A nice orange tint which suggest good aging. A good oaky smell that's not too overpowering. A little bit of candied vanilla and cherries- like a Twizzler. Pretty tannic on the taste, a little bitter as well. High expectations created by the nose are not satisfied on the tongue- a bit disappointing.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
