Sour red fruits, limestone, rocks, and minty medicinal herbs combine to form a balanced and typical bouquet. Cool and crisp in the mouth with a focused feel and a vein of bitter herbs that carries through the midpalate gives this good detail and nice tension in the mouth. The fruit is ripe and rich with nice supporting structural elements. 92pts

Leathery on the nose with bookbinders glue, floral tones and notes of funghi and wood spice all adding complexity. Nicely balanced though the tannins remain the focal point here with well-integrated acids keeping the fruit fresh and adding some lift to the mid-palate. This has a somewhat silky feel none-the-less but feels too extracted and chalky on the finish. 89pts

This was the penultimate bottle and got lost in the flood of fine wine. Sandy and somewhat simple on the nsoe with lovely herbal notes, white mushroom and almost spicy chalk notes. In the mouth this is almost gentle with it's slightly roasted fruit and slightly elevated alcohol that leaves the palate impression just a touch hot. the tannins are a touch abbrasive as well and the astringency and alcohol do not play well together. Not particularly fruit driven with notes of nut skins, vegatale tones and a nuance or raw oak remaining.
