Ata Rangi Pinot Noir Case of 4 Bottles 2011
Dark cherry, dark chocolate, damson plum, and a heady potpourri of rose petal, vanilla and spice aromas lift from the glass, flow across the palate and on through to the long finish of this powerful 2011 Pinot Noir. Tannins are plentiful and fine, creating the full, plush, fleshy texture.

Pale to medium ruby in color the 2011 Pinot Noir has an intensely perfumed nose with abundant floral scents of violets alongside pomegranate and cranberries lavender and some earthy aromas. Medium-bodied and offering a good intensity of fruit it has a medium level of fine tannins balanced acid and a long finish. Drink it now to 2021+. 93+ points. --Lisa Perrotti-Brown Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.
Elegant and quite complex Pinot Noir with tight powerful cherry/berry fruit flavours and an underlying sappy savoury mineral character that lifts the wine into another quality realm. I was reminded how well these wines develop while enjoying a bottle of 2009 the previous evening. In an ideal world this wine would be released in another two years time. A classic Ata Rangi Pinot from a good vintage. Bob Campbell MW.
