This is a really nice bottle for the price. The complexity of this wine rivals those in the $40 range Lots of dark cherry, rasin, and a touch of spice.

Meaty nose, with a thick, viscous body and deep blueberry and prune flavors. Very ripe fruits, balanced by firm acids before a licorice finish.
Wonderful cab! Perfectly ready to enjoy now, but could continue to age some. A nice, deep rich cab with a lovely smoky quality. Delicious.

Legend has it that angels landed in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley and made a heavenly deal with a prestigious winery for Cabernet from the 2007 vintage. So now theyrsquo;re sharing this enchanting red wine with those of us who are fortunate enough to taste this nectar from on high. Like a lotus unfolding, cosmic layers of black cherry, ripe currant, vanilla, dark chocolate and brown sugar gloriously spin into a rhapsody of crimson hue. The wine really works well with grilled flavors, be it ribeye steaks, beef tenderloin or leg of lamb, as well as marinated vegetables such as zucchini, squash and eggplant. Nowhere on this planet will you find a better deal from the SLDhellip; the glory of Cab in its finest rendition.
The baby brother to their famed Stags Leap Cab, the Angels Landing Napa is still incredibly rich and ripe, full of cassis, spice and toasty oak notes. Very approachable, but with great structure indicative of a wine that's built to last. Serve with hearty meat dishes and stews.
The 2007 vintage was a great one. The shorter than expected crop resulted in highly concentrated fruit, especially in this small AVA. The Angels Landing is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot from both valley floor and hillside vineyards, resulting in lush blackberry and chocolate fruit with toasty oak and vanilla in the finish. The wine has well integrated tannins that will give the wine the ability to age gracefully over the next decade.
76% Cab Sauv from Napa Valley, in amp; around Calistoga. 5.5% Malbec from Paso Robles. 6% Petit Verdot split between the Yountville amp; Stagrsquo;s Leap appellation. Aged in French amp; American oak showing intense ripe blackberry, currant amp; dark fruit complexity with an intensity in the mid-palate drawn from the the Petit Verdot amp; Malbec. Layered beneath this fruit is a rich core of new oak and chocolate.
