Welcome to Round Two of the 2013 PVA
The Peoples Voice Awards are back and Round Two has Begun!
Following up on our great event last year, the results of which can be found here, 2012 People Voice Awards Winners,
we are looking forward to the active and exciting voting on this year's set of nominees. You can vote for 10 of your favorite wines each week.
We've selected this year's set of nominees based on the value they deliver, their consistent quality and typicity. The wines were selected by the editorial staff of Snooth along with the following members of the nominating committee:
One note worth mentioning is that several of the wines nominated for last year's PVA have returned this year, but in a different price category. Recognizing that prices for wines vary year to year and region to region I have expanded the ranges of many of the categories to account for this variation.
We're now in the second round of voting, after six weeks of preliminary voting you've whittled down each list to a set of six finalists. You can continue to vote for your favorites, but just keep in mind that we've reset all the votes for this second round so each wine is starting with zero votes once again. Each vote you cast will also serve as an entry in our Enjoy the Grapeness of the West Coast Sweepstakes, and is your chance to win a VIP Wine Country Experience that includes:
VIP wine tours for two at Ravenswood, Clos du Bois and Simi Winery
A VIP dining experience at St. Francis Winery & Vineyards
$1,000 dollars for dining, with Tasting Table recommendations
A 4-night stay at The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa
Round trip airfare for two
It's so simple. Just register to vote, then start racking up your entries in the Grapeness of the West Coast sweepstakes and before you know it you might be chilling by the pool at the Fairmont Hotel enjoying your favorite Californian wines courtesy of Snooth, Tasting Table, and ShermansTravel.
One last note, Snooth's Peoples Voice Awards is not vintage specific. You might have enjoyed a 2010 version of your favorite wine, while someone else is already enjoying the 2011. There's no reason why you both can't vote for it. So vote for the wine, not the vintage!
