Winter Wine Events: Party Across The Nation
It’s winter in the northern hemisphere; kind of a crappy time to go wine touring, though the wines sure do taste good. There still are plenty of wine events happening, so wine lovers need not despair. If you’ve got a hankering for wine and travel right about now, you’ve got two choices: deal with the cold or head south young wine-lover, head south.

Unfortunately, heading south is out of the question for me, and in all honesty right about now a Caribbean island, white sand, and a cold beer sounds a heck of a lot more appealing than driving all day between winery visits! Of course, what my future holds is in fact driving all day between winery visits, with the occasional wine event squeezed in where convenient. Here are several events that I’d like to attend, and some that I am!

If people want to try a REAL winter wine event, check out the British Columbia Winter Wine Festival held each January at the Sun Peaks ski resort. Go to sumpeaksresort.com and look under the Events and Festivals heading. Too late for this year, but put it on your calender for next year. Beautiful location with great skiing and accomodation, and great B.C. wine and food events.
