First Look - Cupcake Vineyards
And to cap off the week we got a sneak peak at a new value brand called Cupcake Vineyards. The winemaker, Adam Richardson, stopped by with the wines and we had a chance to chat while we tasted through the line-up.
The Central Coast Chardonnay and Merlot are being released this month with a Petite Sirah and Washington State Riesling soon to follow. These are a super set of wines, much leaner and more focused than one generally gets at this price point and all of them had very expressive yet fresh flavors and fabulous balance. Full of red plum and red berry fruit this is a lovely, light and bright Merlot, very food friendly and perfect for sipping on the patio.
