Les Claypool
The motto "Fancy Booze for Semi-Fancy Folks‚" sums up the ethos of the Primus-vocalist Les Claypool's eponymous Claypool Cellars. Longtime Sonoma County resident, Claypool founded his winery in 2007 after a home winemaking experiment expanded into a four-ton operation. Located in the Russian River Valley, Claypool Cellars manages to maintain a sense of humor in an area known for serious wine with names like Purple Pachyderm, a Pinot Noir, and Pink Platypus, a Pinot Noir Rosé.

Caduceus is by far among the finest wines I've had the privilege of owning.
I live in southern California and have made trips
to Jerome just for the wine.

Don't overlook the excellent wines from BR Cohn Winery (http://www.brcohn.com), as Bruce Cohn, founder and proprietor, is himself a rock luminary and (still) manager of The Doobie Brothers.

Don't leave out the wines from Sting's Estate Tenuta Il Palagio in Tuscany. Sister Moon is superb!!

No mention of Stings winery in Tuscany ? He launched his first 2 wines 2 years back made from organically grown grapes on his Farmland. One wine is called "Sister Moon" can't remember the name of the other.

BR Cohn Winery definitely belongs on the list. Here's a less obvious candidate: http://www.gargiulovineyards.com/
While Jeff Gargiulo was never a rock star, nor a concert promotor, he is certainly a very musically connected vintner. His tasting room is home to a super nice collection of custom and top-of-the-line guitars. He has many well known musicians as guests and he hosts an invitation only event in October called the Oakville Sessions where customers can watch famous L.A. and Nashville musicians perform.
As a former semi-pro musician, I will wholeheartedly support any musician owned winery... that is, unless Ted Nugent decides to open a winery.

Sting's other two wines are Casino Delle Vie & When We Dance

There's also http://www.arringtonvineyards.com/ in Tennessee, owned by country stars Brooks and Dunn. Not great wines, but a nice place to see a live outdoor concert in the summer.

Sting? Never tasted his wine but he's the greatest rockstar of this list. Another name, Albano Carrisi, he's pretty unknow outside Italy and he's not a rockstar, more like a classic italian singer, (and you can't find him in my personal top10 singers, neither in my top100, neither in my personal top1000....) but his winery, Tenute Albano Carrisi, produces great wines.
