Whiskies A Go-Go When it comes to stocking your bar you’ll find that you're met with plenty of options for gin, vodka and tequila, but when it comes to whiskies, the selections are almost unlimited. I am specifically saying whiskies because I’m including all sorts of barrel-aged spirits derived from grain in my description.

We’re talking rye, bourbon, whiskey, and whisky, Scotch and single malt. You name it. So, what’s the difference? Glad you asked...

And don't forget if your adding a mixer to a whisky or a whiskey use the cheapest stuff you can get. No point using good scotch - ask Edward Heath.

. I live in Scotland for the new year and there are many fine single malt whiskies made here that are not available easily outside of Scotland. Do consider looking on the net for specialist shops in the capital city of Edinburgh to buy these small makers of many excellent scottish malts.HAPPY NEW YEAR to all the friends and staff here, god bless you all.
