Where To Go in February
Well, winter is here, or at least it was. While it may have been been frigid here in NYC the week before last, we're now experiencing more moderate temperatures, but that still doesn't mean that I wouldn't be happier, or at least toastier, elsewhere!
What are we going to do about that? Sadly, not too much, though my frequent travels to California for work has kept me out of some of the worst of the winter weather. Traveling is always a good remedy to all that ails us during these winter months, and to travel someplace where they're pouring wine, well that is manna for the soul.
So get planning and packing, and check out some of the top wine touring destinations coming up in the frigid month of February!

Lots of fun things. I think that Mendocino event sounds very interesting. I hope that one of the Northern California Snoothers can get over there and give is a report.

  • The Alsace Varietals festival is an awesome event. I went a few years ago with my older brother and had a great time. Tasty food and great wines from all over the country & overseas.
Besides Navarro, my favorites were the intriguing wines from the Leelanau Peninsula: Bel Lago (Auxerrois!), Black Star Farms, Left Foot Charley & Chateau Grand Traverse.
Bel Lago doesn't ship outside of MI, so local Snoothers, check them out.
