Swirl Smell Slurp… Read Enjoy. The duo behind this He said/She said blog are designers, so it's no surprise that this site has great graphics and a creative approach to wine. Case in point: the Rewriting the Review section, where Eric Asimov's columns get the Sharpie treatment, with the edited piece becoming art.
The two are currently taking on the challenge of a tasting tour around the country, in the United Slurps of America. They're 14 states down (including Colorado, Washington and Pennsylvania), with 36 to go, and we're not so much as reading, but refreshing, for the next pit stop.

Good Wine Under $20
We're all looking for a good deal, and Good Wine Under $20 sounds like one. This blog has been delivering on the promise for four years, with Deb Harkness hunting down good values and applying a QPR rating. After going AWOL for a few months this year to write her novel, she's now back to offering easy-reading reviews and food pairings for the blog, voted by Saveur.com as the Best Wine Blog 2010.

Reign of Terroir
How could you go wrong with a name this good? This site takes a close look at "winemaking in an age of high tech," with in-depth and insightful interviews with winemakers. Most recently, Ken Payton profiled Gerhard Kracher of the Austrian wine house Kracher. This blog gives us the chance to peek behind closed cellar doors and get to know industry leaders. Long live this reign of terroir.
