After meeting so many wonderful writers at this year's European Wine Bloggers Conference
in Brescia, Italy, I came home with a renewed hunger for discovery. I wanted to read everybody's blogs, and in due time I may. One of the first blogs I checked out was Itali Anna
, the personal story of a young American moved to Italy.
I had the chance to chat with Anna during the EWBC, and have to say that I am a bit jealous of her! She is living her dream, in Piedmont no less, and has plans of building a house in La Morra. This is a plan I could get behind!
For me it will remain a fantasy, but through her blog, Anna brings a taste of her life to ours. Those early days in particular, when she moved to Italy without knowing anyone, or any Italian for that matter, and faced her daily struggles make for fascinating and amusing reading.
Anna has peppered her blog with blasts from the past, bits and pieces of her journals transcribed for our pleasure, and it is truly a pleasure to read. So check out Anna's great coverage of the EWBC11 and her visits to wineries and restaurants. And even better, share in her priceless tidbits like, "Dad calls me Neapolitan because no one can understand me."
Seriously life is not all about wine, check out Anna's blog
and have a blast!
