Favorite wine of the past month:
 
 
I had a moment of true wine pairing joy last week while it was below
freezing and I had a chicken pot pie with a bottle of the 2012 Stark
Viognier from California.  The herbal and vegetal elements combined
with just enough oak matched so beautifully and made me wonder why
it's been so long since I've had a good Viognier.
