What to Drink Now

Episode X: Earthy Reds

Next » 1 of 8
What to Drink Now So we are coming to the end of the line in our series of wines you should try next. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about these wines as much as I have enjoyed writing about them. I would say this is the end of the line, but that would be a lie since I’ve already framed out the next installment: minerally reds.

You’ll see some repetition in minerally reds, but as I have repeatedly written, these pieces are designed to help you find wines that you might enjoy, and while writing this series I learned a lot about what I like. One of the things I discovered was that I can group several disparate wines in a category I can call minerally reds. Hopefully the suggestions I make in each installment of what to drink next will be helpful in allowing you to identify wines that you might want to try. To better illustrate what I’ve actually done, I’ve built this flow chart, which illustrates the connection I’ve drawn between wines, both those that I have illustrated in specific articles, and those I just added to the chart! I hope you find it useful, or at east fun to take a peek at.

Your wine flowchart sounds very interesting, but I don't see it or see how to print it. Can you assist?

Where are the wines of priorat? I can not think of another category of wines (not grapes) that better exemplifies a minerally red than those.

I wonder if the writers read these comment posts? They are most likely very busy.
