We only have some 12 weeks or so left in the growing season, and this really begins to be make or break time for the vintage. A lot of the world's great vineyards continue to be behind schedule in their maturation process, so without a little help from mother nature we could see an awful lot of mediocre wine produced this year. So I've begun a little project called vintage watch. What follows are the weather forecasts for many of the northern hemisphere's most important wine regions. I'll be posting these weekly so that we can all keep tabs on what's going on around the world, helping us all understand the wines that will be made this year and leaving us with a record of the weather of 2013.
This is a bit raw today but as the weeks pass I will be able to add commentary both from myself and hopefully from people on the ground. So what's this weeks weather to be like? Let's find out!
