An easy to use vintage by vintage guide

Another early start to the season, this time accompanied by ample rainfall and above average temperatures, got the vegetative cycle off to an early, vigorous start. Drenching rains arrived early in the summer and once again towards the end of August, allowing the vines to take full advantage of the warm, even conditions that extended through the summer and well into the fall. The harvest was both early and abundant, with fruit coming in with very ripe structural elements, i.e. ripe tannins and balanced acids, but with remarkably fresh fruit. The high yields do not seem to have adversely affected the wines as they are balanced, bright and classically styled wines that are just coming into their own with room for additional improvement in the cellar.
