Sampling the best from Verite

100 Point Wines At last weekend’s Cayman Cookout event, I had the pleasure of tasting seven of Vérité’s top wines, all of which have garnered 100 points from Robert Parker at one time or another.

These wines, while a bit pricey, were all truly divine, thanks to winemaker Pierre Seillan’s production method of “listening to the message of the soil.”

Each wine, made with a blend of grapes from some 40 plots, showcases the terroir and typography of Sonoma. This typography is so complex, Seillan says, that you can claim specific flavor from each plot.

  • We tasted some of Verite's wines early last year at the recommendation from a young lady at the Jordan Winery were we also had a tasting. We bought one bottle ($100+) to have with dinner but refrained from buying more due to the prices. Their top of the line wine at that time was being offered at $450 per bottle. Having bought Harlan Estate, Bond, etc for half of that price simply put us off.
