Les Amoureuses

The lovers. If that’s what you are, this Burgundy Premier Cru is not only an exceptional choice for Valentine’s Day, it’s also an exceptional wine, and priced accordingly. Les Amoureuses is just to the east of the benchmark Grand Cru Musigny, so it’s no surprise that these are the most expensive wines on the list. But your significant other is worth it. Right?

  • How about Passion, from Icicle Ridge Winery in Washington state? Cherry wine with chocolate... hard to go wrong with that! Also, Beaujolais should typically be consumed right away, not left to age. Have you tried that 2009 lately? It may still have life in it but hard to say.

@chitownwineguy A solid Pinot Noir from Oregon, such as Argyle, would be nice and not break the bank...Assuming all of your $$$ was spent on dinner/a gift/etc...etc...

Finca Antigua Merlot 2006. Just hard to find unless you order a case, at least in Canada. On the other hand, it settles what to drink on the 14th of Feb. until the year 2023...

  • A Moscato d' asti is always a great choice for a celebration. You can even get a pink one that is perfect for Valentine's Day!
