The Daily Rant from NZ
What's going in New Zealand is about to blow your mind!
Live from stormy Wellington Today was quite the day. I began in Blenheim, the Sauvignon Blanc capital of New Zealand, and drove on the wrong side of the car anfd wrong side of the road for two hours to Nelson. Nelson is almost all coastline and it's a vacation's paradise, or so I'm told. Today, it was oddly overcast and humid, making it less than ideal conditions for the visits I had scheduled. The wines at Neudorf where benchmarks for me and the vineyard work going on at Te Mania and Richmond Plains is downright exciting. It's really refreshing and enlightening to see all the fine work going on down here, and we all should be paying close attention. It won't be long before these wines regularly challenge the world's finest.
