Focusing on Grenache

The Daily Rant 2012.5 With my heavy travel schedule these days it's sometimes hard to sit down long enough to get a useable rant on video. I'm working ahead so often that it just seems odd to be ranting about wines that may not appear in an article or on the site for days or weeks. Well, screw it, I'm going to be bringing you content when it's completed, not necessarily when it's scheduled to run. Consider these as sneak previews of upcoming content and reviews!

I've not been overwhelmed by Valdemar's wines, but that Garnacha sounds worth a try.

Slightly off topic. Got a wonderful 2004 a while back from one of on line retailers. Ondarre Reserva Rioja. ended up buying two cases, and before then hadn't really liked Spanish wines. Best of all the price was something like $11 a bottle. If you can find it, grab it up. Full bodied, assume it was tempranillo blend, much fuller bodied than most inexpensive Rioja.
Been trying French and Spanish Grenache blends, and some 100% grenache. Just started because I had high school and college memories of Almaden grenache rose that was so dreadful didn't knowingly touch grenache until a few years ago. There is so much good wine in so many varietals and blends from all around the world that we have so many great wines to try. Ain't wine wonderful!
