Enjoy the islands at half the price

Grenada-St. George's

If the Ritz is not your speed, check out Grenada, a Caribbean island still filled with old timey (think James Bond) hotels and Caribbean kitchens, all competing for attention and dollars with more modern and hip establishments. You can enjoy a deserted beach while dipping into a pepper pot with rice and peas for lunch, then run off for dinner at Michelin-starred chef Gary Rhodes’s eponymous Rhodes Restaurant in the Calabash Resort.

My favourite is taking a bareboat from Tortola for a week or two for some island hopping. But you need to source (the good) wines before leaving the port.

It's amazing that you dealt only with the anglophone islands (forgive me, but St Martin/St Maarten doesn't count as non-anglophone). The best food and wine in the Caribbean is found on Martinique, Guadeloupe, and St Barth's by far; it's not even close.
