Day 8

Domaine Manuel Olivier Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Blanc 2014
The Côtes d’Or is the true heart of Bourgogne. The Northern part is known as the Côtes de Nuits, where many of world’s finest Pinot Noir wines are produced. This is a premier example of what the Côtes de Nuits can offer in Chardonnay. The 15 year-old Chardonnay vines used for this bottle are situated near the Clos de Vougeot –  a famed Grand Cru vineyard. Aromatic ripe peach, pear and apricot aromas with a floral float of potpourri and a touch of creamsicle tangerine. Zesty and assertive but fun and refreshing with notes of grapefruit, tangerine and green apple with pleasant oak spice, creamy vanilla texture and an oaky finish of concentrated pear, lemon and a warm apple crumble finish. 91 pts. SRP: $25.

  • Nice article, but would be truly helpful if buying opportunities were included. Where can we purchase these wines?

I had the Cremant di Bourgogne many years ago and truly enjoyed it.
It is impossible to find in the Rhode Island and ct. area. Even though these are not expensive, the distribution in this area is terrible.
