Day 3

Domaine Goisot Saint-Bris Exogyra Virgula 2014

Most will be shocked to learn that the tiny Le Saint-Bris appellation in Bourgogne is dedicated to the production of Sauvignon Blanc – a rarity for this area in France. It’s a unique find at a fantastic price, guaranteed to impress your holiday guests from wine novice to expert. Very aromatic, intriguing and surprising wildflower, pine and eucalyptus aromas with lime leaf and grapefruit notes on the nose. Grassy and herbal on the palate with more wildflower notes and a spicy acidity running through to the finish where green melon and herb butter finish with a bit of an oaky bite to cap things off. SRP: $18.

  • Nice article, but would be truly helpful if buying opportunities were included. Where can we purchase these wines?

I had the Cremant di Bourgogne many years ago and truly enjoyed it.
It is impossible to find in the Rhode Island and ct. area. Even though these are not expensive, the distribution in this area is terrible.
