Day 2

Domaine Bart Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2015
This is a fantastic example of a crowd-pleasing Bourgogne Rouge widely available at a terrific price. Domaine Bart has chosen to indicate Pinot Noir on the label, which can help clear confusion for novice drinkers unfamiliar with Bourgogne’s classic varietals. Herbal, mineral notes of smoky tar and toasted oak on the nose with muted cherry and red currant coming through. Fruit forward and clean palate of cranberry, cherry, strawberry and red currant fruit, with tart, puckering acidity and a smoky, earthy and brooding core of resinous plant extracts and a dark, spicy oak character presenting itself on the finish that ends with a hint of herbal medicine. SRP: $16.

  • Nice article, but would be truly helpful if buying opportunities were included. Where can we purchase these wines?

I had the Cremant di Bourgogne many years ago and truly enjoyed it.
It is impossible to find in the Rhode Island and ct. area. Even though these are not expensive, the distribution in this area is terrible.
