Day 10
Domaine Robert-Denogent Saint-Veran Les Pommards Vieilles Vignes 2014
Saint-Veran AOC, granted in 1971, lies in the South of the Maconnais region. It rings the well-known Pouilly-Fuisse appellation. The soils here are red and sandy which brings a unique, lighter character to the wines. Light floral notes of subtle peach and apricot jam with lemon balm and a bit of fresh spice around the edges. Golden berries and pink grapefruit on the palate make for a zesty, refreshing opening, with warm spice and green apple notes welling up on the mid palate, mixing with honeydew melon and a touch of cream, this finishes with more tart citrus - a bold acidity and lively spice keep this fresh throughout the palate. SRP: $31

Nice article, but would be truly helpful if buying opportunities were included. Where can we purchase these wines?

I had the Cremant di Bourgogne many years ago and truly enjoyed it.
It is impossible to find in the Rhode Island and ct. area. Even though these are not expensive, the distribution in this area is terrible.
