Friday - Monday, March 25 - 28: The 5th Annual California Artisan Cheese Festival

This four-day event blows the doors off California’s artisan cheese world, offering you insider access to the people and products that are redefining cheesemaking! Hosted by the Sheraton Petaluma.

What is California's Artisan Cheese Festival?
California's Artisan Cheese Festival is a nonprofit organization with the mission to:
• Educate people who want to learn more about artisan cheese
• Support the artisan cheesemaking community and its sustainability; and
• Celebrate and enjoy the creations of the artisan cheesemakers.

The festival helps the artisan cheesemaking community directly by contributing 10 percent of all ticket proceeds to nonprofit organizations that work to protect and preserve the lands needed by the artisan cheesemakers for their cows, sheep and goats; train and encourage the next generation of milk producers and cheesemakers; and support the artisan cheesemaking community in California. The festival also supports the Redwood Empire Food Bank, which is working to eliminate hunger in Sonoma County.

Saturday, April 9: Riedel Glass Seminar & Seghesio Salumi Tasting, 11a.m. and 2p.m.

Do you know your perception of a wine can be enhanced by the size and shape of the glass? Join Daniel Vu, director of wineries for Riedel Crystal, for a special tasting of your favorite Seghesio wines that shows how glassware affects flavors and aromas. Be first to enjoy a special pairing designed by our Master Salumist Joshua Smith, featuring six house-cured salumi recipes. Mister Gary (Cathy Seghesio's dad) and Uncle Cotton are flying out from New Orleans to host ya'll Big Easy style. Cajun BBQ Ribs, Seafood Gumbo with Andouille Sausage, Tasso Shrimp Fettuccini and traditional Beignets for dessert will be paired with what we do best: Zinfandel and Italian varietals. Don't miss the best music in town with Andre Thierry & Zydeco Magic. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
