It is not difficult to see why Sandeman Porto was so popular and used by bartenders, as it embodies a pure fruit with its natural sweetness, great freshness and a smooth, velvety texture. Ruby Porto flavors, like those found in Sandeman's Founders Reserve are intense and powerful, showing the characteristics of young Portos. They have full body, deep ruby colors, aromas and flavors of red fruits (apples, berries, plums, or strawberries), and the freshness of young wines. Aged in large oak or stainless steel vats, Ruby Porto is less exposed to oak and air allowing for slow, gentle oxidation that allows the wines to maintain its fruity, primary characteristics for longer.
