Nominate Your Favorite Wines

It's time to add your favorites to this year's People's Voice Wine Awards

It's time.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's your turn to choose the nominees for Snooth's 2013 People's Voice Wine Awards. We are asking for your help in selecting the wines that our audience will be voting on as their favorites of the year. They can be your wines, your friend's wine, or your favorite wines, the only thing that really matters is that you nominate them.

We've been working hard behind the scenes building up a base of hundreds of wines for our voting platform this year, but we need your help to make this selection truly reflective of the people’s voice. With your help, we hope to improve upon last year’s collection of extraordinary wines that were broken down by price, grape and sometimes style. As we proceed through this year's People's Voice Awards we will be whittling down our list of nominees to six finalists in each category. Our second round of voting will then crown a winner in each category.

Please help your friends, help your neighbors, and by all means help yourself by suggesting wines that should be included in our first round of voting. Due to space considerations, we may not be able to include every wine that is suggested, but without your help we know that we'll miss many that should be included!

If you like mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, you must include Andrew Geoffrey Cabernet Sauvignon From Diamond Mountain in Napa. Any vintage from 2002 on up to current releases.

And if you can't afford wines from Screaming Eagle or Bond Winery which includes most of us, then it is time to try Anderson's Conn Valley wines. His cabernets, Bordeaux Blends, and his "Eloge" series are rated almost the same as the above mentioned at an affordable price.

2009 Perez Cruz Liquai. Maipo Valley, Chile. Cabernet, Syrah, Carmenere. Over delivers beyond your wildest dreams. Paul Hobbs is the U.S. Importer. Their reserve Cab is also pretty amazing.

And... 2010 Merlot from Mount Rozier. Stellenbasch, South Africa. The Gabb family.

Arista Longbow Pinot Noir 2008 is quite splendid. It has an elegant bouquet, and once you sip this deceptively smooth treat, it suddenly explodes with the most awe-inspiring flavor on the mid-palate which sends you into another galaxy. Wash all your cares away with this wine!!! Enjoy, again and again!

  • Artesana's 2011 Tannat & Tannat-Merlot from the acclaimed Canelones region in Uruguay, but then again I am biased as the winery owner! Our award-winning Uruguayan women winemakers handcrafted gorgeous wines from this historic vintage. Tannat is Uruguay's signature varietal, brought from France in the 1870s. Uruguay's many outstanding wines are well-known in other countries and starting to get on the radar here in the states.
