Live from Lodi: Virtual tasting with friends

Writers and producer come together for a fascinating discussion.

Restart 1 of 1
Live from Lodi: Virtual tasting with friends This past April we broadcast our second live Virtual tasting from Lodi California. With a seemingly inexhaustible supply of interesting characters, and a story that begs to be told,, this time around was just as interesting, and successful as our first broadcast from Lodi.

Unlike the first time around, this version included some of our favorite wine writers. Folks who traveled with me for three days throughout Lodi before the virtual tasting, and who shared their thoughts and stories with us as we were joining by Markus Bokisch, of Bokisch cellars, and Camron King, the Executive Director of the Lodi Winegrape Commission. I’ve been able to edit down most of our Virtual tasting to to tasty little bites. Check a few out and you’ll learn all about where Lodi has been, who makes it important (hint: they drive white pickup trucks and clothing is by Carhartt), and why the future's so bright for Lodi and the wines from this unique corner of California!

What makes Lodi so different from other Central Valley locations (like--sorry--Modesto) where vast quantities of bulk plonk is produced? That would be an interesting post......

If you haven't visited the vineyards listed you are missing out. Don't forget the Woodbridge Winery in Lockford.
